c o m p o n e n t s
for D e l p h i
Bruno Fierens will demonstrate the latest
tms - software
components. This session will focus on how you can develop web applications using browsers on mobile devices in Delphi. There will be an in-depth look at the Ajax features
of the Delphi IntraWeb framework, and how to use this to optimize performance and bandwidth.
There will be an overview of TMS Intraweb Components which are designed for optimal user interface performance. With a look & feel that is almost identical at pixel level
with native iPhone/iPad/iPod applications.
In this session you can also participate by looking at the
sample application on your own mobile device
during a live session
.

TMS Software has adapted its Flexcel components (forExcel) for Lazarus (it is provided free. The source code will be on sale.)

Benno Evers will demonstrate the use of the suite of
Components-4-developers for Lazarus:
Kim Madsen is working very hard to provide a suite of components with a huge
variety of functionality.
This very large component suite provides a wide range of functions
and services to applications.
Blaise Pascal Magazine has published two articles about using this suite in Delphi. We will update this information now for use in Lazarus.

Creating  I p h o n e  a n d   I p a d  a p p l i c a t i o n s  with Free Pascal:
With Free Pascal and Apple's XCode you can write native applications for the iPad and iPhone.
(Joost van der Sluis is working on turning this into a component group which will be available for Lazarus in due course.)
Objective C is not needed here because you can create Free Pascal applications that are compatible at
binary-level with Objective C. Joost van der Sluis will give a short introduction and show how to create
iPad and iPhone apps in Xcode.
